QSA News

Queensland State Archives regularly receives new records into its collection from various public authorities. New series, and major additions to existing series of records, are identified in a monthly publication qsa-bulletin. This publication also advises researchers of QSA events and news.

SLQ News

The State Library of Queensland publishes a monthly newsletter, slqnews, which gives regular updates on news and events at the State Library. Also, see the What's On page for coming events.

National Archives

The monthly newsletter of the National Archives of Australia keeps you up to date with what's happening. It features news on our events and tips for researching their collection.

GSQ President, Margaret Doherty, was elecetd President of History Queensland at its AGM on 28 May 2011. In this role, Margaret plans to advocate to bodies such as the State Library that our interests as family historians need to be considered when they provide services to the Queensland public.

History Queensland (HQ) is an umbrella group for local and family history organisation and it is a great honour for Margaret to have an opportunity to lead this organisation.

GSQ's Vice President is the new HQ Treasurer and Janice Cooper from our Southern Suburbs branch is also a management committee member. Les McFadzean, President of Redland branchis the Past President of HQ and continues on the management committee.
