President's Notes
GSQ in History Queensland
GSQ President, Margaret Doherty, was re-elected President of History Queensland at its AGM in 2012. In this role, Margaret plans to advocate to bodies such as the State Library that our interests as family historians need to be considered when they provide services to the Queensland public.
History Queensland (HQ) is an umbrella group for local and family history organisation and it is a great honour for Margaret to have an opportunity to lead this organisation.
GSQ's Vice President is the new HQ Treasurer and Janice Cooper from our Southern Suburbs branch is also a management committee member. Les McFadzean, President of Redland branchis the Past President of HQ and continues on the management committee.
