For friends of GSQ who had damage due to the floods, and of course the North Queensland cyclone disaster, the thoughts of the Management Committee and GSQ members are with you, for any loss and trauma which you have suffered. We hope that you and your families recover quickly both emotionally and physically. However, due to possible access problems, we did postpone our Saturday session on Exploring the FamilySearch websites, which was due on 15 January. This is now re-organised for Saturday 26 February, commencing at 9.15am. |

The floods in Brisbane were devastating to families and businesses, but we were fortunate at GSQ, as the water in Fisher Street rose halfway between us and the park, which was less than we had expected. Some of our volunteers moved low lying books and objects to higher levels and then held their breath. See the photograph of the water in Fisher St at the height of the flood.
