North Brisbane Branch
The objectives of North Brisbane Branch (the Branch) of the Genealogical Society of Queensland (the Society) is to service the needs of members of GSQ who live in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, to assist non-members in their research and encourage their membership.
North Brisbane Branch was formed in 1979. Over the past 30 years, the Branch has acquired a substantial library to help members with their research.
All members of the Branch are full members of the Society.
Branch meetings are held on the 1st Friday morning of each month (except January). Doors open from 8:45am for members research and the meetings commence at 9:00am. There will be a guest speaker at the meeting every second month.
Meetings are held at the North Brisbane Branch library at the North Area Scout Centre, 23 Sicklefield Street, Alderley (near the Pickering Street and Raymont Road intersection).
The Branch has a substantial library of reference books as well as BMD indexes, electoral rolls, and other family history records on microfiche and CD. The library, at the above address, is available for members' use on the 1st Friday morning of each month.
Members may borrow books, CDs and microfiche for a small fee.
