Membership types
Society membership is available either as a single membership, or as
a family membership. Download the Application
for new Members form or the Memebership
Renewal Form. Note that you
will need Adobe
Acrobat Reader to view and print the membership form.
Family membership is for two members of an immediate family living
at the same address. While both members receive the same benefits as single
members, they receive only one copy of the Society's journal free of charge
each quarter.
Branch membership is also available (details on request). Branch
members must collect their journals from the Branch.

Benefits
- Free access to the Society's Library and
facilities at the Library.
- Attend meetings and other activities organised by the Society.
- Receive four issues of the Society's publication 'Generation' per
year and submit research interests for publication.
- Research for country
members.
- Advice on research for all members.
- Photocopying, microfiche and microfilm copying facilities
(fee charged).
- Become a member of one of the Special
Interest Groups.
- Use of English and Welsh certificates purchase service.
Indexes to the GRO birth, marriage and death registrations
(July 1837 to December 1969) are available at the Society.
