Membership types

Society membership is available either as a single membership, or as a family membership. Download the Application for new Members form or the Membership Renewal Form. Note that you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the membership form.

Note that existing members may now renew membership subscriptions by online credit card payment through PayPal.

Family membership is for two members of an immediate family living at the same address. While both members receive the same benefits as single members, they receive only one copy of the Society's journal free of charge each quarter.

Branch membership is also available (details on request). Branch members must collect their journals from the Branch.

• Receive four issues of the Society's publication 'Generation' per year and submit research interests for publication.

• Advice on research for all members.
• Photocopying, microfiche and microfilm copying facilities (fee charged).
• Become a member of one of the Special Interest Groups.
• • Use of English and Welsh certificates purchase service. Indexes to the GRO birth, marriage and death registrations (July 1837 to December 1969) are available at the Society.

Members may also consider making a donation to the Society. Donations to the Library Fund are tax deductible and are used solely for the purchase of library resources. Donations to the Building Fund are used for capital improvements to the Resource Centre.
