Scottish Interest Group
Aims
The purpose of the Scottish Interest Group is to provide assistance to
those researching Scottish ancestors. This is done in three ways: providing
resources to assist in research; providing opportunities to talk to other
researchers; and organising seminars about subjects connected with Scottish
genealogy, culture and history.
Meetings
Meeting are held on the first Sunday of the odd months of the year
from 10.30 am to 3.00 pm. (unless otherwise advertised in Generation).
The meeting runs from 11:00 am for approximately one hour, with the remaining
time for members to conduct their own research.
The meetings discuss forthcoming events the group may be involved in, the
possible purchase of various resources, and provide a forum for members to
ask questions about various aspects of their own research.
Membership
Membership is open to all financial members of GSQ. No extra fees are applied,
though a donation of a gold coin from members attending the meetings is appreciated.
Donations are used to purchase more Scottish resources.
