GSQ Scanning Workshop – Members Only
August 6 @ 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM AEST$15.00
A special Workshop using the GSQ Epson Perfection V800 Photo Scanner; Fujitsu A4 Document Scanner and Lightbox.
The Epson scanner will scan 3 strips of 35mm colour or black & white negatives; 12 slides; 120mm size negative film; 3½ x 4½ glass plate or film; plus up to A4 size photographs.
The Fujitsu A4 Document Scanner makes it easy to scan up to 10 pages at one time.
The Lightbox is fun and very easy to make good copies of negatives or slides just using a Free/ payable App on your mobile phone. Also good for just seeing if that negative is going to be worthwhile to scan or not.
Open to 6 GSQ members only. This ensures that each person will get to use the equipment. If popular then more workshops will be arranged.
Will be required to bring – Photo/s; slides and negatives

In the 1990’s she was an Accredited Record Agent via AAGRA (Australian Association of Genealogists and Record Agents) specializing in New Zealand Research. Was a member of GSQ in the early 1990’s until taking a break in the 2000’s and rejoining again in 2017.
Love of computers and all Tech things, Ailsa was part of establishing the first GSQ Computer Group and was involved in many of the Seminars and Presentations, as well as the Committee.
Still having a love of computers, was the previous Convenor of TAG (Technical Advisor Group), is the Co-host of the Monday Zoom Meetings, the 4th Wednesday Evening Zoom with guest speakers, and one of the webcoordinators for GSQ, and active member of the GSQ DNA SIG.
Having the same Epson Perfection scanner at home and scanned many photos; slides; and negatives of varying sizes makes it easy for her to explain how to use the GSQ equipment.
