Ireland: Part 1: Irish Land Records (updated)

May 7 @ 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

$20.00 – $30.00

This presentation focuses on Irish land records through the years from 1740 until the 1900s, including Freeholders, Tithes, Taxes, Townlands, Griffiths Valuation, and other land records. During the talk, Bobbie will guide you through how to search all the available documents and how to use them as a census substitute of sorts. This presentation is Part One, leading to Bobbie’s ‘Bounding around Ireland in 2022’ on 18 June 2022.

About the presenter
Bobbie Edes
Starting her research in the mid-nineties, Bobbie has made numerous trips to the UK and researched in many Records Offices throughout England and Ireland. She usually makes a point of spending two full weeks in each of them and has a never-ending ‘to do’ list ready for that next overseas journey. Join Bobbie as she shares her broad knowledge of how to go about genealogy correctly, learning about new avenues for internet searching along the way.
