Using Canva to create those special photo books

A wonderful FREE Designing program that is easy to use and can assist you to create a wonderful photo book of your family history.
We are not all writers, even though most of us would love to create a book as we see in libraries and bookshelves. But with a little bit of knowledge, you can put your stories into a photo book that will tell your family history your way.
A simple program you can use at home on your own computer, you just need to sign up and then learn and play around. You will have fun with this program.
If you really get serious you can always subscribe to it and obtain many of the other features that are limited in the Free access version.
Helen will take you through using Canva, learn to find and use the many templates for family history, the many fonts that are available and how quickly you can create a wonderful book that can sit on your table so that guests can browse through it, or you can send copies to your families.
The course is limited to 10 people and you will be using the GSQ computers.

Helen is a very long-term member of GSQ. She was past Secretary for many years and does the flyers for events, and the design work on the GSQ website. She also creates eNews every month for you to read. Helen is one of the Web coordinators; on the Education Committee; part of the TAG team; on the DNA; FHTech; and Scottish Special Interest Group. She is co-host with Ailsa on the Monday morning Zooms and assists at any time she is needed.
