Using GENUKI

August 24 @ 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM

$25 – $40

GENUKI can be described as a free genealogy web portal – a virtual reference library. It is focused on the British Isles ie Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. It enables you to search for resources using geographical localities, even down to the parish level in some instances. Judy Lofthouse will take you through the features of this little-known resource to find out how it can help you with your family history research.

Presenter: Judy Lofthouse

Judy has been a member of the Genealogical Society since 2006 and has researched her family in Australia, England and the USA and her husband’s in England and New Zealand. Her particular skills are using computers for family history and she has presented on a variety of topics for the GSQ education program. Before retiring Judy worked for Brisbane City Council as a chemist in the water laboratory and before that as an analytical chemist in the Department of Primary Industries.
