Webinar Wednesday: Preparing for the digital dark ages

January 30 @ 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

$15 – $20

What can you do when something goes seriously wrong with your computer and you lose years and years of your family history research material? How can you make sure that your digital documents will last as long as paper? Is using cloud storage the answer?

Learn how to be prepared for the unfortunate and unforeseen event such as fires, data corruption or just mistakes in overwriting files.

Still away on holidays or can’t make this day?  You can still purchase your ticket to this event and you will then be sent the link to the recording following the event.  The video can be downloaded to your computer and you can watch it as many times as you like.

Presenter: Cathie Sherwood

As someone who has experienced the sinking feeling of having accidentally deleted a hard drive full of family information, Cathie is in a unique (well perhaps not quite so unique) position of speaking from experience.  She will use her information technology knowledge and experience gained over many years to highlight potential pitfalls and possible solutions.

Once you have selected your ticket type(s) and the number of tickets, you will be required to enter the names of the event attendee(s) and their email address. The email address may be used by event presenters to send out information prior to the course.
