LIST 14 - DEUXIEME DIZAINE - BIRTHS FROM MUSTERS
In the course of analysing the various early colonial musters and the 1828
Census, (which are to be found later in this work) numerous entries were
found which could not be positively connected with any particular set
of parents. Entries for 283 such names (156 males & 127 females) are
listed here alphabetically in surname order along with the muster or census
from which they are derived and their year of birth.
These Births from Musters account for 9% of the "Deuxieme Dizaine". Males
were 56% and females 44%.

A year of birth is unknown for 68 of the entries as unfortunately apart from
the 1828 Census and 1822 Muster, most of the musters do not so much as give
the age of the person, resulting in no way of estimating the year of birth.
William Brazil was recorded in both the 1814 Muster and 1828 Census, William
Evans was recorded in both the 1814 and 1822 Musters. Seventeen others were
recorded in both the 1822 Muster and the 1828 Census.
There are two possible childhood arrivals on the list; William Anderson per
'Speke' 1808 (but this maybe a duplicate of William Alderson), James Grimes
per 'Indian' 1810.
Thomas Yacklan may in fact be Thomas Jacklin.
Daniel Broadarrow is recorded as adopted by William Davis.
Several of the entries were married and these details can be found in List
16 dealing with Marriages.

It may well be that some of these names are variations of existing "Deuxieme
Dizaine" members. Otherwise these entries are obviously ripe for further
investigation and more family groupings may well come to light as a result.
Entries on this list have the reference identifier "M-C" on List 1.
