BURIALS - OTHER DENOMINATIONS

 
 
The State Archives Pioneer Series mentions only one other denomination 
with any burials during this decade and that was the Baptist Chapel in 
Bathurst Street Sydney and there were only four burials listed in the 
year 1840.
 
Regrettably to date the burial register for this chapel has not been 
located.
 
The information recorded for each burial is as follows:

 civil status at time of death
 year and ship of arrival
 quality or profession
 reference number
 
Who the officiating minister(s) was(were) is(are) at present unknown.
 
The burials are listed in chronological order. 
 
There were three infants and one adult. 
 
The reference number would direct the reader to the relevant entry 
in the original source document. The reference numbers for the chapel 
run sequentially from 0001 to 0004.
 
To locate an entry on this list; firstly an alphabetical search on the 
name would be made on List 5 using code "SYDB" from which the date of 
burial would be retrieved, secondly using the appropriate date, the 
burial would then be located on this list.
