Volunteers
The contributions made by its volunteers in the past, now, and into the future are gratefully acknowledged.
GSQ is guided by the Society's Volunteer Code of Practice.
You may not realise it but every task in the Library is undertaken by volunteers. All members of the GSQ Management Committee are also volunteers. In fact every position that is required to help run GSQ is done by volunteers. Without all these wonderful people who love Genealogy and Family History and what GSQ stands for, GSQ would not exist.
As changes occur with people in their daily lives, we are constantly in need of people to volunteer their time. If you could spare a few hours per month it would be sincerely appreciated. We would especially like to welcome new members to the volunteer group. There are even positions that you can do from home, and the little things like vacuuming the floor, washing the cups at the end of the day, and just being their to help support other volunteers. If you can assist in doing something like that, then please contact the Volunteer Coordinator.
We have a form outlining many of the different roles and positions. If a role or position that you can do is not on that form, then please let us know as we are always keen to obtain help in many ways.
If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the GSQ Volunteer Form , save it and attach it in an email to the Volunteer Coordinator
( volunteer@gsq.org.au ).
It would also be appreciated if current Volunteers could complete this information in order to update the GSQ Volunteer Register.
You don't have to be an expert in any of the volunteering listed fields - a willingness to learn and enthusiasm are all that is required.
Thank You
