Family History for Beginners and Beyond

1 in stock

Family History for Beginners and Beyond has a long history dating back to 1981 when it began as a series of notes for the annual course given by the Heraldry & Genealogy Society of Canberra. In 1985 it was converted to book form, and the 1st edition of Family History for Beginners was printed. Now 35 years, they are up to the 16th edition. And it is one that everyone researching their Australian roots should have as a reference guide.

Not only does it contain extensive references for beginners and for the more experienced family historian, but it is also a practical guide to help readers trace their ancestry and family story.

The new edition builds on these solid foundations and includes five new chapters – Australian land records, Chinese Australian ancestors, DNA, Military records, and Writing your story. Produced as B5 size so it fits easily in your shelf, and spiral bound for ease of reading revised, updated and new material.

Whether you are beginning your research into Australian ancestry, or are beyond the basics, this book is an invaluable reference guide for any family historian.
