Queenslanders: Pioneer Families 1859-1901
Our Queensland ancestors are honoured in this book which chronicles the many trials and tribulations of the pioneers as told by their descendents. In 1859, Queensland became separated from New South Wales but would not become a state within Australia until 1901. This was therefore an important period in forging our uniquely independent sense of being a Queenslander. With over 400 stories, this book will bring alive the efforts of the many unique Queenslanders living in the colony during this period.
