Branches

Bayside Branch

We at the Bayside Branch are a small group of people who share an interest in seeking, and helping others seek, the histories of our families. We were formed as a branch of GSQ in 1980.

Our meetings are held on the second Thursday evening of each month except January at 7.30pm in the staff room of the Wynnum Central State School, Florence Street, Wynnum. We discuss our “finds” and offer advice to fellow members and at times have guest speakers. We publish a journal each quarter called “ Broadcaster” and we swap journals with a number of other Family History Societies throughout Queensland and New South Wales.

Our Resource/Research Room is in the Environmental Education Centre, 70 Charlotte Street, Wynnum and is open every Wednesday morning (except school/public holidays) between 9.30 and 12 noon. This building is directly behind Wynnum Central State School. Our members are rostered on to help with any queries and to answer questions.

For any queries regarding our Club please contact:

Phone: Eris on 3396 6151 or Elma on 3893 1841;
