GSQ receives grant from Q150 Anniversary
We’re pleased to announce that the Society has been granted $10,000
from the Q150 fund for a project to update the Muster Roll which was
originally produced in 1988. Russell Fraser is Project Manager. One
of the outcomes of this successful submission is the need to have a
large band of volunteers available who will do the necessary data entry
of the biographical information. Our plans are that volunteers will
be able to do the data entry in the comfort of their own homes. Helpers
will be provided with a copy of the program for loading on their own
computer. We encourage all our members as well as those interested
in genealogy and family history to consider giving some time to this
project. Please phone (07) 3891 5085) or email GSQ (gsq1@optusnet.com.au)
- Josephine Nolan will be delighted to hear from you.

Benefit Fund has provided $15,970, plus GST, to the Genealogical Society
of Queensland for the purchase of computing equipment, including desktop
computers, a laptop computer, data projector and a laserjet printer.
GSQ is delighted to acknowledge this support.
