CANVA: how you can create photobooks, calendars & more to enhance your family history
November 5 @ 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM$20.00 – $30.00
What is Canva? Remarkably simple to use, Canva makes quality design and content creation accessible to everyone. With this software—available on desktop, web, and mobile—you can start a new project from scratch or take advantage of thousands of professionally made templates for print, social media, presentations, and even video. In this session, Helen will show you how to get started in Canva with a simple project, and then examine some of the other features and offerings that are especially useful in your family history. Oh, and did you know that it’s free?
Passionate about history and addicted to family history, Helen has researched her family in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, England, Scotland, and Barbados for over thirty years. Helen enjoys graphic design & desktop publishing and has found Canva a fantastic resource for family history – and it’s free! Helen has completed the Society of Australian Genealogists’ Certificate in Genealogical Research and has completed the University of Tasmania Diploma in Family History. In addition, she holds a Master’s in Health Policy (by research), a Graduate Diploma in Health Promotion, and a Bachelor of Social Work (Hons).
