New Zealand – What is available for family historians online.

June 3 @ 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM AEST

$20.00 – $30.00

New Zealand is our closest next door neighbour so to speak.
Many of our ancestors often either went to New Zealand and then to Australia or visa versa. (often said to be – Jumping the Ditch) Many other family members of the immigrants to Australia also went to New Zealand. Some like my own family just went there and stayed and not until we came to Australia to live was there any of my family members here.
If you are lucky enough to be able to take a Genealogical Research trip to New Zealand and be able to visit all the archives, libraries, cemeteries and places your ancestors records are held that is wonderful. But many of us are not able to do that, therefore we need to find as much as we can via using the Web to help with our research.
In this presentation, I will explain just what information, copies of certificates or documents that you can obtain all from sitting in front of a computer. Visit the many cemeteries to get the burial records and often a picture of the grave site as well. Do searches on the National Archives; National Library and newspapers to gather the information to help you build up a picture of your ancestor.
Learn just what is available for you to access.
