Organising Your Research – the digital way
March 7 @ 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM
$25 – $40
You finally made some progress in the paper war. Other genealogists compliment you on the way you cleared that backlog of paper records through judicious use of the scanner. But how proud are you of your digital filing practices? Have you simply transferred that untidy tangle of documents into the cyber-jungle? Out of sight, out of mind?
By taking a fresh look at how you name, organise and store your digital records, you have an opportunity to improve both your efficiency and effectiveness as a researcher. You can complete more and better quality work by selecting a suitable record-keeping system and sticking to it. Explore the options available in a hands-on workshop and consider the factors that will make one of them right for the way you work.(Limited to 14 participants)
Presenter: Bob McAllister
Bob McAllister is a busy family history researcher who uses his information technology know-how to organise his research.
By sharing his experiences, Bob hopes to help others to find the best way to digitally capture and store the volumes of paper accumulated over many years of genealogical research.
