Wednesday night @ GSQ: Thomas ** Prior – What’s in a name?
February 27 @ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Three generations of Murray Priors were active in Queensland commerce and politics in the nineteenth century, their individual identity often mistakenly attributed in contemporary reporting (and subsequently). A not uncommon occurrence from the period when sons were named after their father, an ongoing challenge for researchers. This presentation will be based on a project that started life as a simple enquiry, Who were the original purchasers of land in what is now St Lucia?.
For members only with a gold coin contribution.
