Petitions in Qld Colonial Secretary’s Correspondence
In colonial Queensland, petitions were a very popular means for ordinary people to make known their objections and concerns. This talk will demonstrate how useful they are for family historians exploring their early Queensland family history, as well as outline how to use Queensland State Archives’ registers to find petitions sent from community members from across the state.
